Who is Goldie Surge?

When Surge first began working for the United States government, the suits in charge felt it wise to give their newly acquired super powered walking weapon a sidekick. Due to Surge first emerging from the Pacific Ocean, naturally the lead physicists believed he should have an aquamarine animal as a sidekick. 

Goldie Surge the goldfish was introduced (*see Surge #1), along with goggles so he doesn't get water in his eyes.

The scientists working for the government, in all of their glorious ineptitude, were so impressed with their own achievement, they never took into consideration Surge's inability to make use of a goldfish in a bowl of water sitting on a shelf in his house in Grimm, Indiana.

Goldie Surge's known powers and abilities include underwater breathing and being really good at staring contests.
