DRAGONDARK Archive Trilogy Book Three: The White Orb

Jaysil The Red Curse

Jaysil The Red Curse

Jaysil was a gifted child, understanding the mechanics of magic starting at the young age of three years old. His parents, frightened of the child, disowned him and left him at the doorstep of Grettal's Magic Shoppe'. The old woman raised him until his teen years when he left Peregren and began studying at the Mage Academy of Port Skell. The child was gifted beyond anyone's expectations and many believed him to be arrogant and rude. In Jaysil's mind however, he was polite as Maron The Wise instructed him, it was just everyone else who was a little behind.

During his studies, Jaysil learned of the power of the three orbs containing the essence of the three deities of Nerin Toth, Tanlaura, Noron, and Zet. Upon graduating the academy at the age of 15, Jaysil was suggested by Grettal to be put in charge of The Arcane Sanctuary near Peregren and the minotaur city of Azerath. Here, he met his own apprentice, the much older, and much kinder, Humbol.

Jaysil left the sanctuary in search of the three orbs, and during an error in spellcasting, the teen accidentally shrunk himself to only 8 inches tall (*see DragonDark Archive Trilogy Book 1: The Red Orb.) Although small in size, he still retained his ability as a wizard, and grew even more powerful.

Joining Captain Hellcat's crew aboard the Sky Palace air-ship, the shrunken, young master wizard obtained the red orb Erron had discovered and soul-slipped into the orb itself where he met the neutral deity of justice, Noron. It was there within the orb itself, a celestial realm within a realm, where he struck a deal with the deity, gaining power that now frightens even Grettal.

Along with the rest of the pirate crew of the Sky Palace, Jaysil found himself shipwrecked after the battle with the great green dragon, Sarsethok (*see DragonDark Archive Trilogy Book 2: The Yellow Orb.) Being taken prisoner by the nefarious Captain Beerbeard, Jaysil helped to defeat the rotund pirate and came into possession of the yellow orb.

After the crew made it back to the mainland in Port Io, Jaysil (who regained his normal size) struck another bargain with someone just as deadly as a deity, Erron Stairin. He tasked Erron with delivering a message to Maron The Wise in Port Skell, while going in search of the the third orb, the white orb.
