ORCS OF THE FROZEN WOOD

ORCS OF THE FROZEN WOOD

The Orcs of The Frozen Wood are the rulers of it, often dealing in druidic life magic. They are an intelligent and wise race, but often come across as overbearing and authoritarian in their protection of the cold forest.

They are known for warring with outsiders and enslaving local goblin tribes, and are bitter enemies with dwarves who they believe harm the balance of nature with the saltpeter mines.

The Knights of El Tomath do not often give much regard to the orcs as the two factions rarely encounter one another due to geographical differences, however there is no love lost between the two as both groups are territorial at heart.

The Druids of Teseron have similar goals to the orcs, but are more peaceful and often find themselves under the attack of the orcs.

The closest city, the tree city of Ut, is always in the defense against wandering bands of orcs.

The magics used by the orcs consist of druid life magic allowing them to heal themselves and others and the land itself. While none have ever confirmed it, it is believed the orcs are the ones responsible for keeping the forest frozen year round as a means of dissuading trespassers.

Known for living barbaric lives their favored weapons are spears, bows, clubs, and large two-handed stone swords called, "Gescahs."

Orcs are not known to have many fears of anyone or anything and swear allegiance to their tribal elders and the balance of nature only.

Other orcs exist throughout Nerin Toth but are uncommon as most are found within The Frozen Wood, however they have also been known to take up residence in The Black Desert and the Toi Swamp. These orcs are practitioners of druidic magic.
