A New Beginning

As you can see this page is undergoing a few changes. Of course this will always be a home to my characters and books of my own BLACKSTAR UNIVERSE, the place behind a black hole. After having published 4 different novels, more than a dozen other short stories, comic books, web-comics, prints and creating an entire universe (it's really more of an alternate reality/afterlife to our own for those who haven't kept up and are new) this page will always be a home to the characters and stories I created in my childhood 30 years ago. From time to time you'll see artwork from my books like DragonDark, Surge, New Nation, Stiletto and Grimm, Indiana. But only from time to time. This site is changing more into a blog and site dedicated to my artwork like graphic design, paintings, portrait drawings, and illustrations. Spider-Man (Black Costume)

 


I decided to make past me mad at myself by doing a fun sketch of ol' webhead himself, Spider-Man (Black Costume) instead of a fun and sexy drawing of Black Cat. I always got excited when I used to see Erik Larsen's rendition of Amazing Spider-Man because he went for months doing Spidey's costume as red and black rather than red and blue. The way he did the blacks as one flat color without too much reflective lighting always looked super cool to me. And it's sort of what I was trying to do here.
